Every year the Bureau of Animal Rights advoKators (BARK) club at Marriotts Ridge, does a supply drive for underprivileged pets to get food and necessities for cats and dogs. The organization that this is being donated to is the “Kibble Connection.” People can donate items like wet and dry dog and cat food, soft dog treats, dog and cat toys, as well as paper towels and kitty litter. The supply drive is being held until November 5th and you can drop off the supplies at the box near the front office.
“There is a need in the community for pet supplies and food for homebound individuals,” teacher advisor of the BARK club Mrs. Pettit said. These supplies will also be donated to people in needy communities who don’t have access to these essential items.
“This supplies drive will help individuals who can’t get out into the community to make their own purchases,” Mrs. Pettit said.
Petit adds by saying, “The BARK club’s mission is to work with organisations that help animals that are in need.” As seen with Ms.Pettit’s words, BARK, an organization that strives to help animals that don’t have the needs to survive.
