When the world seems full of challenges and hurdles, you might need some inspiration on the things that you can be grateful for. Marriotts Ridge Students are stating their opinion on what they are thankful for this season.
People are sometimes thankful for their friends. “I’m thankful for my friend Lamees. She is always there for me and supports me,” freshman Breanna Hyatt said. “She also sometimes helps me get lunch,” Hyatt said.
Others are thankful for their family. “I’m thankful for my family because they help me live my life and are always a part of me,” junior Abdullah Khan said. “When my Grandmother died, I felt that a part of me was gone, so I stayed close to my other family members,” Khan said.
People can be grateful for their countries. “I am thankful for my country giving me freedom, because in other countries, they don’t allow their citizens to voice their opinions as much as the United States,” junior Garrett Weibking said. “In other countries they restrict what others can say and not say, so that element of free speech in my life is something that I am thankful for” Weibking said.
