High School is full of memories. From fun pep rallies and crazy musicals to Prom, the Marriotts Ridge High School Yearbook documents it all. The MRHS Yearbook makes sure to capture every fun moment for MRHS students to look back and remember. All these precious memories are put into one single yearbook each year, where students can look back and reminisce on the past. The MRHS 2025 Yearbook is available to all students and parents of students at MRHS.
Every year, the yearbook class at our school creates the MRHS Yearbook. This year, they came up with new themes, covers and templates. Doing this every year is fun and eventful but also comes with some challenges.
“A lot of work goes into making the yearbook. My partner and I, Ruhha Biruk, have to make all the templates, and when the pictures come in we have to put them in, and add captions,” junior and editor in chief Madelyn Dell stated.
Making the yearbook may seem easy and simple, but it is actually the polar opposite. Creating takes effort. The work to construct the yearbook is heavy as the editors have to create each template by hand. And each photo inserted into these templates gets hand picked by the yearbook students. Retrieving these photos also takes effort as photographers have to capture these pictures. Each of these photos also gets a caption. Each page in the yearbook goes through rounds of edits to ensure that it is free of any mistakes.
The work put into creating the yearbook makes it worth each buck. Other than the cost of manufacturing the yearbook itself, the resources and the photographers who are hired are taken into consideration.
Many students choose to buy it so they can keep the memories forever, especially seniors. The yearbook has a huge focus towards seniors as it’s their last year at MRHS. It covers all senior activities such as Senior Sunset and Senior Crab Feast and much more.
“I haven’t bought a yearbook before, but it’s my senior year so I got one.” Megan Nguyen senior said.
Other than the hard work dedicated to creating the yearbook, the yearbook also includes many memories that students can cherish for the rest of their lives. Every student at MRHS is represented in the yearbook some way
